Award-winning Iranian title ‘Castle of Dreams’ has been set to attend the 2019 edition of the Vancouver International Film Festival.
Directed by Reza Mirkarimi, the film will screen at the 38th edition of the Canadian film event.
Also produced by Reza Mirkarimi, a brief synopsis for ‘Qasr-e Shirin’ reads, “Jalal Moradi, a 42-year-old father of two, kills a family in an accident. In the court of law, the murder is recognized as accidental killing without intent. After getting out of prison, he leaves his wife and kids and moves to another city. Two years later, he must go back to his home town as his wife is brain-dead.”
The starring role of the film has been portrayed by ifilm star of ‘Free Fall’ Hamed Behdad who won the Best Actor award from the Shanghai International Film Festival for his role in the flick.
The same festival has also awarded Reza Mirkarimi the Best Director and the Golden Globet prize for the film.
The Vancouver International Film Festival aims to celebrate excellence in film based storytelling.
The latest edition of the event has been slated for October 1-6, 2019.
